I've got an N95-1 running V35.0.002 Firmware, Python 2.0.0, and GoogleVoice fro S60 v0.7.27. I have the same problem as reported above. Once blank contact, and 2 additional with random characters exactly as described above.

This looks like another symptom of what I call "phantom" contacts. These records are in the database but are either empty or corrupted. In version 0.7.9 we took care of the corrupted contacts. I will see what I can do to filter out these ones also.

One blank line, when clicked, gives me a message that the contact has no numbers. Another blank one however, when clicked, generates the prompt to select an AP and go online, although no call is subsequently placed.

A line with the random characters brings up a prompt to select M, H, or W, although they are all blank. Selecting one again generates the prompt for AP, and again no call is placed.

So from my limited testing it is difficult to tell if there is any common thread among them regarding whether a number is present or not.

This has been reported a few times and I am looking into this issue. At the moment it looks like this is an issue with the contacts API.

Have you tried calling one of the corrupted contacts? Does it actually have a number?

I have similar on my E71. I'm using 0.7.14. Four blank lines in my case and a jumble of letters and digits for the next two lines. I've posted a screenshot at http://www.pixball.com/viewer.php?file=am7ihScreenshot0001.jpgp.jpg

These lines do not appear when I use the built-in OS contacts app.

The app works for me but my contacts list is populated with additional "garbage" contacts. Namely, the first contact is null, the next few have letters and numbers in the name. BTW, I have less than 100 contacts.

Thanks for this useful app!
