- Q: Do I have to buy new computers to install and use your system?
- A: Most of the time no. Please check the system requirements for technical specifications. In general, a 4-5 years old workstation will be enough to run the client applications.
- Q: Can Power Users access the customer data directly in the database?
- A: Yes, Power Users can access the database directly in a verity of ways. Because our database schema is open and we don't use any proprietary formats, Power Users are able to access the data directly from software like Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel or Crystal Reports.
- Q: Can I get customized letters?
- A: Yes, we can add new types of letters to your system on the fly. Afterwards, you will still have the ability to modify the text and merge fields at run-time.
- Q: Can I get customized reports?
- A: Yes, any number of additional reports can be added to the system.
- Q: Can I create my own custom marketing campaigns?
- A: Yes, from the get go the system is fully customizable to conform to your business rules. In addition, you can also use the Advanced Search and Adhoc Mail Merge to mine and market to your customer base.
- Q: Does the system conform to XYZ best practices?
- A: Yes, BDC 2.1 was written with very flexible and extensible business rules in mind. You, as a Administrator, have complete control over how the system will behave and function. For instance: the business rules can be easily adapted to meet Ford Motor Companies BDC Global Initiative.
- Q: What about legacy data migration?
- A: Most system rollouts include legacy system data cleansing, validation and migration.
- Q: Do I need a fast / redundant Internet connection to run this system?
- A: No, you will not need an expensive Frame Relay or T1 Internet connection to use our system. In addition our system is more secure, easy to use and cost efficient then and ASP based model.
